Accelerated Reader Program

This is a program that encourages children to read. The kids are allowed to pick one book during their class library time to take home to read and enjoy. The following week the child will be able to take a computerized test  to earn points based on the number of correctly answered questions. Each accelerated reader book is marked with a yellow sticker so the children will know what to look for. There are different point values for the books based on the level of difficulty for that book. As the children build their points they are able to reach certain prize levels and strive for the "GOLD" level. For more information check with your child's teacher or the library.
