Dear Parent / Guardian:

 

The Joseph Case Jr. High School Band will be marching in the Swansea Memorial Day Parade on May 26th.  The students need to be dropped off at 12:00 noon in the back parking lot of St. Francis of Assisi Church on Gardners Neck Road.  The parade will begin at 1:00pm.  Please pick your child up at the Bluff’s Center where the Parade will end around 1:45.

 

Important please read:

Students participating in the horn line or percussion line need sneakers, maroon baseball cap, black ankle socks, black shorts and maroon polo shirt tucked in.  All Students are required to have the following items:

Horn Line and Honor Guard only – Marching Band White Gloves ($4.00)                     allow for future years

Students in the horn line must remember to take their instruments home on Friday May 23rd, and bring them to the parade.  Remember to leave your instrument case in the car.  Students in the percussion line need to remember to pack their equipment in a container provided in the band room on Friday and Mr. Cordeiro will bring this equipment to the parade. 

 

Students participating in the color guard need sneakers, black socks, black pants and color guard gold polo shirt tucked-in.  Students must bring their color guard equipment with them to the parade and we will collect the flags at the end of the parade.

 

Please have all long hair pulled in the back with an elastic or black scrunchie. 

Please no dangling earrings, studs only. 

Please do not use any colored nail polish. 

The above requests allow the Marching Band to look uniform and professional.
