Dear Parent or Guardian:

We are pleased to inform you that our school and our district’s “No Child Left Behind – Report Card” for the current year has been released by the Massachusetts Department of Education.  The “report card” contains important information about teacher qualifications, student achievement on MCAS tests, and the progress we are making toward helping all students become proficient in English Language Arts and Mathematics.

The information in the report card is divided into three parts:

                                    Part I:               Teacher Qualifications

                                    Part II:              Student Achievement

                                    Part III:            School Accountability

This information in an important part of your right to know how well our school is helping all students reach Proficiency in ELA and Mathematics and our school’s Adequate Yearly Progress.

Our school and our district’s NCLB – Report Card is available to you on the Swansea School District’s web-site [www.swanseaschools.org].  Please reference the NCLB-Report Card link.  In the event that you do not have access to a computer, hard copies of the Joseph Case Junior High School report will be made available in the main office of the school.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    Robert G. Monteiro
