Dear Elemenatry School Parent/Guardians,
A surround Care program has been instituted in each of the four Swansea elemntary schools. Two of the four elementary schools open at 7:00am for before school care and all four elementary schools will close at 5:30pm for after-school care. The Gardner School and The Luther School are used for before school care. All children will use these two schools for morning care and be transported to their appropriate school by the school system. This program wil only run the 180 days that school is open. It will not run during school vacations or hlidays, or in-service days. It is only open to Swansea children enrolled in grades Pre-K trhu 5th Grade.
This program is run in coordination with the schools but at no cost to the Swansea Public Schools. The program and all of its employees are funded through fees paid by parents and guadians that choose to take advantage of these servcies. Surround Care staff will work 7:00am until 5:30pm. Their responsiblities during the school day will focus mainly on supervisory duties.
Fees for this program must be paid on a monthly basis before the sercies are rendered each month. Parents can choose from three options before-school care, after-school care or both. The fees are as follows:

Children must attend the surround care program at the school that they attend. A school calendar and an emergency form are attached. If you would lik to register your child/children for Surround Care for the 2005-2006 school year, please fill out the attached registration form and the emergency form. Send them along with a recent copy of your phone bill (proof of residency) and a check for the apprpriate amount for Aug/Sept 2005 to:

No child will be registed unless the registration emergency form, recent phone bill and chck are all sent. In order to hire approprate staff for the year, the schedule that you choose for you child must stay the same for the entire year.
