Luther School Directions

  • March 1, 2019

    Dear Luther School community,

I would like to thank the LSO for continuing to fund our visiting author assemblies.  A reminder that our LSO School Dance will take place at Case Jr. High School on March 29.  Invitations have already been sent home with students and RSVP’s are due back to the school by March 15.  Students are encouraged to dress for an 80’s theme, but this is not required.  The LSO recently sent home information regarding their spring pretzel fundraiser.  Please consider supporting this fundraiser as money raised funds various school activities and field trips.  Order forms are due back Friday, April 5.

Wednesday, March 6 will be an Early Release Day for students at Luther School.  Faculty members will be participating in professional development during the afternoon on this day.  Parent dismissal will begin at 11:30 a.m., van dismissal will begin at 11:40 a.m., and bus dismissal will begin at 11:45 a.m.

Trimester 2 Report Cards are scheduled to go home with students on Friday, March 15.  A reminder for parents to please sign and return the report card envelope.  Students should return the report card envelope to their homeroom teacher.

Parent-teacher conferences will be taking place on Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22.  Forms with additional information will be going home with students soon.  Due to parent-teacher conferences, March 21 and 22 will be Early Release Days at Luther School.  Parent dismissal will begin at 11:30 a.m., van dismissal will begin at 11:40 a.m., and bus dismissal will begin at 11:45 a.m.

The Luther School Scholastic Book Fair will take place from March 19-22.  Parents will have the opportunity to attend the book fair during parent-teacher conferences.  We are currently seeking volunteers to help run the book fair, please contact the school if interested.

Parents who would like to volunteer to chaperone a field trip must submit a completed copy of the Field Trip Chaperone Agreement to the building principal by April 12, 2019.  The form is now available on the Luther School website.

    Sincerely,

    Sean P. Scanlon

  • School and District Report Cards

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) recently released new, redesigned school report cards. Just as a student's report card shows how they are doing in different classes, school and district report cards are designed to show parents and community members how a school or district is doing in different areas.
