School Council

The School Council at Luther School is an extremely involved group of individuals who are committed to excellence. The purpose of the School Council is to create a climate where the faculty, administration students and other community participants, working together, share the responsibility and accountability for our school.  Our School Council’s mission is to promote better student performance, professional development and broader participation of parents and community.

During this year’s meetings, the council will review budgetary items, school data; enrollments, staff, standards-based assessments, formal State assessment scores (MCAS), capital projects, and the School and District Improvement Plans. We are committed to quality instruction, appropriate assessment procedures, parental involvement, and developing well-rounded students. By focusing our goals on these major tenants we believe that we can exceed state standards as set forth in the Massachusetts State Frameworks.
