Food Service

Swansea Public Schools is proud to partner with Chartwells to provide healthy meals for students.

Food is a big part of everyone’s well-being, and Swansea students need a place to eat where they can connect with others, recharge, and enjoy a sense of happiness in their school. That’s why we serve food kids love to eat and create programs that encourage fun and discovery.

Our School Lunch team is passionate about using fresh, nutritious, minimally processed and locally sourced ingredients, and we foster a sense of adventure in students through experiential learning activities – all with healthier students and healthier communities in mind.

Our goal every day is to make sure that students leave the cafeteria happier and healthier than when they came in!

Free School Meals

Swansea Public Schools participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Through funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, every student is eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day, including early dismissal days. Families no longer need to submit a household meal application. Students are able to purchase additional a la carte items.

MySchoolBucks

MySchoolBucks is the online payment management system for School Lunch Meals. Use the link above to access. For questions regarding your child's Schoolbucks account,  please contact the Food Service Director.

A La Carte

A la carte items are available for purchase at all schools for students in grades 3–12. Milk is included with a complete meal. If a student takes milk without purchasing a meal, it is considered an à la carte item and will be charged accordingly.

Families can monitor à la carte purchases by creating an account at MySchoolBucks.com. To set up an account, you will need your student's school ID number.

Please remind your child not to share their student ID number with other students. This helps protect your account and prevents unauthorized charges.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Food Service Director.
