At the January 5, 2026 School Committee meeting, Al Deston was presented with the Massachusetts Association of School Committees’ Friend of Public Education Award by longtime Swansea Public Schools supporter and resident Ed Hill.
The Swansea School Committee is rolling out the Be a Light Award!
Anyone in the Swansea Schools community may nominate anyone (student, staff, volunteer etc) who goes above and beyond to benefit the Swansea Schools Community! Thank you for considering nominating someone!
