ANNOUNCEMENT OF KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
The Swansea Public Schools announces registration for children who will be five years old on or before August 31, 2026. New students who plan on attending 1st grade, who have not previously enrolled, should pre-register at this time also. A child must be 6 years old by August 31, 2026 to be eligible for 1st grade.
We mailed a postcard in early December to age eligible children who are listed on the Swansea Town census. This is to PRE-REGISTER and confirm that you intend to enroll your child. If we hear from you, you will be mailed a registration packet by early February. If you are new to Swansea please contact your closest school office to have your child’s name added to the list.
If you have a child who is age eligible who will be attending a private school, your child is welcome to participate in the developmental screening portion of the registration process. The purpose of the screening is to identify children who may have any of the following concerns: vision, hearing, speaking, getting along with others, physical coordination, or other conditions that may affect learning.
