Joseph Case Junior High School Building Project
We are excited to partner with the MSBA in the process of building a new school, ensuring that our junior high school continues to provide a high-quality learning environment for years to come. This page contains useful information to keep you up to date on our process/progress.
Swansea’s MSBA project cleared key thresholds and moves toward community authorization this fall.
Swansea’s school building committee listened to the community through an educational visioning process. Students, staff, and community members offered input on a new Junior High School. Here’s what we heard. Stronger connections to the wider community, increasing non-traditional and collaborative learning options, developing real-world skills, and physical spaces to foster community engagement.

On August 14th, 2025, the School Building Committee took an important step toward the future of Swansea by voting to support the design and engineering of a new Joseph Case Junior High School on the current High School campus. The new building will be located alongside the High School, creating a connected and unified campus for our students. This option not only represents the most cost-effective approach but also best supports our educational vision and plan. Below area an updated schematic and renderings of the proposed site from the 3/19/2026 School Building Committee Meeting.
